We are excited to roll out GoDAM 1.5 in our January release, a release focused on broader virtual media support, better cross-browser playback, and polished mobile experiences across the dashboard, player, and interactive layers.
This update makes GoDAM more reliable across devices, easier to use on the go, and more flexible when managing media from GoDAM Central.
What’s New
Virtual Attachments for More Media Types
GoDAM now supports virtual attachments for Images, Audio, and PDFs. You can directly import these media types from GoDAM Central without duplicating files – making asset management faster, cleaner, and more scalable. You can add them to any page or post using the GoDAM Media Tab.
Safari Desktop Video Quality Menu
We have added support for the video quality selector on Desktop Safari, ensuring consistent playback controls across all major browsers.
Mobile & UX Improvements
- Dashboard and Analytics pages are now mobile-responsive
- Improved mobile video player UI across all skins – Default, Classic, Minimal, Pills and Bubble
- Enhanced layer styles for smaller screen sizes
- Fixed UI overlaps between the video player and engagement modals on mobile
- Smoother keyboard forward/backward shortcuts for video playback
Fixes & Stability Improvements
- Fixed interactive form and poll submissions in the GoDAM Gallery block
- Hotspot points are now constrained within the video canvas for consistency across devices
- Improved real-time aspect ratio updates in the GoDAM Block
- Resolved fullscreen form input issues on Safari
- Media metadata (embed URLs, transcoded URLs) is now visible in the GoDAM tab
- Fixed rendering issues when GoDAM blocks are used inside Row, Columns, or Grid blocks
- Video preview pages now work reliably across all layer types
We recommend updating to GoDAM 1.5 to take advantage of improved media handling, smoother playback, and a much better mobile experience.
